But the box it came in? And for years, it worked. The <strong>packaging<\/strong> was functional. It held the past\u00e9is. It did the job. But &#8220;doing the job&#8221; is not the same as creating desire. The box was just another box, like every other bakery box on every other counter in Lisbon. Grab it, carry it, throw it away. No moment of this is special. And that was a problem. Not because the product isn&#8217;t special, but because the <strong>packaging<\/strong> was actively working against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:39px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>THE BRIEF<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ovalordotempo.pt\/\"><strong>Grupo O Valor do Tempo<\/strong><\/a>, our client, is a company dedicated to the valorisation of Portuguese businesses, large and small. They had recently acquired <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/projects\/\">A Brasileira<\/a><\/strong> and came to us with a challenge aligned with their principles: let&#8217;s valorise the pastel de nata <a href=\"https:\/\/ovalordotempo.pt\/\"><strong>of Brasileira.<\/strong><\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Behind that brief was something deeply strategic. They didn&#8217;t just want a prettier box. They wanted the experience of buying a pastel de nata at <strong>A Brasileira<\/strong> to feel different from buying one anywhere else. They wanted the packaging to work as a souvenir. Something memorable, something that embodied the historic legacy of <a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/projects\/\"><strong>A Brasileira<\/strong><\/a> and elevated a traditional Portuguese product.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:82px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>WHAT WE DID<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We started by asking the right question. What is iconic about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/projects\/\">A Brasileira<\/a><\/strong>?<br>The new packaging embraces its heritage with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/branding-agency\/\">design <\/a><\/strong>being inspired by the centenary fa\u00e7ade itself. With its characteristic ornamentation and the figure of the gentleman with his bica, we created a box built from the brand&#8217;s most classic and recognisable elements. The new packaging elevated the perceived value of the product. The price moved up, but the experience now justified it. Sales followed. Most importantly, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/branding-agency\/\">packaging<\/a> became part of the story people tell when they talk about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/projects\/\">A Brasileira.<\/a><\/strong> It became shareable. It became something worth giving and keeping.       <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A pastel de nata in beautiful packaging is no longer just a pastry. It&#8217;s a memory, a gesture, and a reason to choose <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/projects\/\">A Brasileira<\/a><\/strong> over the shop around the corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:82px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>INSIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dfront.pt\/en\/branding-agency\/\">Packaging<\/a><\/strong> is not decoration. It&#8217;s the first conversation a product has with the person holding it. If that conversation says &#8220;I&#8217;m just another option&#8221;, that&#8217;s exactly how it will be recognised, as just another one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">If it says &#8220;I was made with care, and so was what&#8217;s inside&#8221;, the perception shifts entirely. The product doesn&#8217;t change.
